How To Decide Which Social Media Platforms Are Right For Your Brand

Social media can be a difficult beast to tame. It is no longer about sharing a few sporadic posts about your products and services, it is about the brand as a whole. Consumers want to get to know the real you and they want to know, like and trust you as a brand before they make a purchase.

So how do you know where to start? Get on the channels that your customers are using and not only be active but be engaging. Be a human being with a personality, a sense of humour and get to know your customers.

According to the Office of National Statistics 91% of 16-24 year olds use the internet for social networking in the UK. This decreases as the age rises but there is still over 51% of 55-64 year olds busy on social media day to day. It is clear that if you don’t have a social media marketing plan you are missing out on a huge market.
However…not all social media channels are created equal. There is no point throwing resources at all areas without understanding the demographics of the people that are using that channel and making sure those are in line with your ideal customer and the branding strategy.
